How we count
- Weighed at the truck. A hanging scale before disposal; bulky items weighed on their own. Every figure is a scale reading, not an estimate.
- Hours are time on site. People present times hours worked. Drive time is not counted.
- Sorted before weighing. Trash is separated by type, so composition data reflects what is in the watershed and tells agencies what to address.
